In July 1997, Memorial established the Corporate Compliance Program to demonstrate its commitment to excellence in legal, regulatory and ethical compliance and to ensure that it has established a culture which promotes self-monitoring, detection and resolution of problems. To help Memorial’s caregivers and managers identify and prevent improper conduct, Senior Management and the Board of Commissioners have adopted Memorial Healthcare System’s Compliance Program Standards and Procedures, of which the Code of Conduct is a critical component.
Our Compliance Hotline (954-265-5855) is an avenue for employees and other interested parties to report suspected criminal activity, illegal or unethical behavior and conduct occurring within our health care system in the event other resolution channels have been ineffective. All calls are answered by an independent hotline company that specializes in healthcare compliance issues 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. All Memorial employees have the duty to report any potential violation of the Code of Conduct or the Compliance Program.
